Balancing

After repair, it is required to test the balance of the assembled turbocharger at operating speed

Balancing is done on a SCHENCK CAB950T-S machine – the absolute leader in this area
The maximum value of effective scanning is 250,000 rotations per minute
Balancing of a wide range of turbochargers
Possible to use for turbochargers designated for sport applications
Imbalance causes noise and vibrations – unpleasant and dangerous at high speeds

Output is a graphical diagram – illustration of progress and imbalance

Imbalance can affect:

Lifetime – bearings can be highly stressed by vibrations, subject to major wear and tear

Safety – vibrations can cause disconnections, risk to both humans and machines

Quality – affected by vibrations and trembling, high-speed machines do not work in a “clean” way

Competitiveness – quiet and silent running is always a sign of quality = competitiveness

One of the most important options of the complex offer of services related to turbochargers is testing

Consists in the physical revving of the turbocharger and subsequent identification of the following:

Vibration level Brüel & Kjaer sensor
Casing tightness verification – oil leakage in certain points of pressure
 Control function verification
 Radial and axial clearance measurement

The testing laboratory output identifies the turbocharger condition along with testing protocol completion
